Gana is one of the traditional classifications used in Nakshatra-based astrology. Every nakshatra is assigned to one of three Ganas - Deva, Manushya or Rakshasa - a symbolic description of temperament, not a verdict on character. It is chiefly used in Kundli matching for marriage compatibility.
What is Gana?
